The Shulamite Woman

In the Book of Song of Solomon in the Bible, Solomon describes the Shulamite Woman using similes and metaphors to express his love for her. Chapter 1 verse 5 says, " I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon."
Chapter 4 verse 3 says, " Thy lips are like a thread of scarlet, and they speech is comely: thy temples are like a piece of a pomegranate within the locks."
Chapter 6 verse 10 says, " Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners?"
As I read the Song of Solomon, I realize that God desires to form within us a pure and devoted love with him. We as believers in Christ, can experience this pure love with God daily.
